Our client provides IT services to enterprise scale businesses. They are currently working on site with a major Tier 1 and world respected technology company. With over 900 servers on site (Linux, Windows, Unix, VMware) and a suite of state of the art storage devices, this is a great and challenging environment to work in.

Our client seeks an IT Infrastructure Architect ( Tech Lead, SAN, Virtualization, VMware, Windows, Linux, Unix ) and Tech Lead with proven experience in a similar role, excellent communication skills, some technical lead experience and broad understanding and experience of the majority: SAN, Windows, Linux, Virtualization, VMware, Networking.

The IT Infrastructure Architect ( Tech Lead, SAN, Virtualization, VMware, Windows, Linux, Unix ) responsibilities will be:

- Design, implementation and maintenance of a large scale data centre infrastructure.
- Administration of Data Centre architecture.
- Network architecting and administration (ideally to CCNP level).
- Infrastructure and data centre documentation.
- Analyse the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Project leadership.

Essential skills for the IT Infrastructure Architect ( Tech Lead, SAN, Virtualization, VMware, Windows, Linux, Unix ) role:

- Proven Infrastructure Architecture or Systems Architecture experience.
- Experienced in architecting and developing infrastructure solutions.
- Experienced in planning, designing, implementing infrastructure data centres.
- Infrastructure monitoring and management (i.e. SNMP, Nagios etc).
- Experience in the following: Linux, Unix, Windows, VMware, Virtualization and Networking.
- Networking skills ideally to CCNP level (or working towards CCNP).
- Must be able to work in the EU

Highly desirable but not essential is any from for the IT Infrastructure Architect ( Tech Lead, SAN, Virtualization, VMware, Windows, Linux, Unix ) role:

- Relevant degree
- MCSE, Linux Certification, CCNP, CCNA
- Experience with data storage products (i.e. tape drives and networked storage devices).
