UNIX TDA Lead - Blue chip Telco - �65k

UNIX TDA Lead is required by a highly reputable Telecommunication brand to responsible for the technical platforms across the group systems. The UNIX Lead will act as a Technical Design Authority and take a lead role in providing technical leadership and direction for operation platform leads whilst acting as the technical authority in the end to end strategic delivery of platforms for meeting business requirements.

The UNIX TDA Lead will provide guidance on the strategic direction and use of the platforms, helping to produce roadmaps, and to define high level strategy for the technology. You will also be responsible for justifying upgrade projects to platforms, whilst working with solution designers to gather platform requirements for solution designs, as well as working with security managers to define the security standards for the Unix Platforms.

In order to apply for this senior level position you should have a record of working within a Unix Lead / Solaris Lead or a Technical Design Authority position. The ideal candidate will preferably have a background working within the telecommunications industry. You will also have experience within the following criteria:

KEY CRITERIA
* Experience in leading at least 2 platforms and leading of technical/ senior support resource having in-depth knowledge of the platform
* Must be considered as an expert in with UNIX or Solaris platforms
* Provide guidance, and technology direction to the team meeting business requirements
* Advanced Academic qualifications (Degree or Masters) essential.

TECHNICAL CRITERIA
* Extensive working knowledge of UNIX/Solaris platforms (Sun, IBM, HP etc.)
* Proven working knowledge of Linux server Platforms, bare metal and virtualised
* Knowledge of Vitalisation/Zoning x86 and Sp arc Platforms
* Clustering - Solaris platforms
