Unix Manager / Unix Specialist urgently required by one of the world's leading telecommunications companies at the forefront of technology.

This role provides huge autonomy to the right candidate where the "buck stops with you" on all UNIX platform solution decisions. Taking a lead role in IT, you will be responsible and accountable for the UNIX technical estate and this involves planning, design, implementation and on-going operational support on a large scale.

A UNIX expert, your technical expertise will be varied and will cover Multivendor UNIX/Solaris platforms (Sun,IBM,HP etc.) experience. You must have the ability to explain technology strategy and direction to a non technical audience to "gain buy in" and will be passionate about new technology and taking a company to new levels through the use of the latest trends. Your expertise/knowledge MUST include: Unix / Solaris, Linux, Virtualization/Zoning, Sparc and Clustering.
