CV Database Guide:

A good online profile, is your passport to expanding your career in the IT industry. To assist you to get the most out of our CV database, please read these tips and hints.

Skills & Experience:


Our CV search uses keywords to match the required skills and experience of a vacant position with potential job seekers on the database. As a result it is important to ensure you explicitly detail the type of skills you possess. For example if you were a Developer with skills across the suite of .Net programming languages, it is in your best interest to detail the languages individually ie C++, C#. This will ensure your CV will appear within the results of various searches conducted by recruiters.

Refreshing Your CV:


Uploading a new CV does not only ensure that recruiters are provided with your most up to date skills and experience, it will also assist you to be found by recruiters as many search for candidates by the date the CV was added to the database. As a result, we advise that you periodically upload a new CV to increase your chances of being displayed at the top of the search results.

Anonymise Option:

We understand that not all jobseekers wish to be called directly by prospective employers. We therefore give you the option to Anonymise your CV Database account. By ticking the Anonymise option - either during Registration or when updating your account at a later date - we will remove all the personal information you have given in your registration form, from your online CV. Prospective employers will therefore NOT be able to see any of the key contact data you have provided us. On top of this, we shall also endeavour to remove your Date of Birth. Should you specifically wish to withold your current employer from the CV, we suggest you strip it manually from your CV before uploading it.

Prospective employers will still be able to contact you by email, however this will be done through The IT Job Board's own mailing engine, so your e-mail address will not be shown to employers at any time.
